ABOUT US

Sea-Scape Cottage was built in 1992 on a vacant lot where a change-house once stood for the IngleNeuk summer tourist home. Ingle Neuk thrived in the 1950s with tourists from Montreal and other "far-off" locations. Fresh water was fed to the cottages in the area through cast iron pipes connected to a wooden water tower located at the end of Youghal Drive. These have since been replaced with new municipal water and sewer pipes to allow year round access and living. Images of the old water tower and tourist home days can be found on prints hanging in the cottage. During construction, excavation revealed old segments of this pipe as well as some interesting old bottles buried in the sand for forty years!

The Babin family built the cottage as a seasonal residence but rent it to transplanted Bathurst residents who've moved away and want a place to stay when back visiting family or friends. Tourists who want to experience a great beach vacation have stayed here too and many keep coming back.
